At the age of 14, Mike began to learn woodworking from his grandfather and brother-in-law. By the mid-1980s, he had formally joined the carpentry trade, learning not only framing, but fine finish work as well. After many years in residential and commercial construction, he became a manager for a restoration firm, where he developed budgeting and supervisory skills. “I heard about Brenner Builders from a relative who worked in Kevin's mill shop. I was attracted to the work ethic and professional attitude that all the employees have,” recalls Mike, who first joined the firm as a Finish Carpentry Manager. “This is a company that rewards hard work with new opportunities, and when everyone is supported in their jobs, we perform at higher levels.” An avid fisherman, Mike lives in Dover Plains, NY where he and his family are involved in community activities.
