Renovation And Expansion Scarsdale, New York 1996

This project involved renovation to an existing Tudor home in several phases. Phase One involved renovation of the existing interior, including the master bedroom suite, and children’s bedrooms and baths. Phase Two of the project continued the renovation and included an addition to the existing kitchen area, including breakfast room, dining room, study, maid's room, laundry room, and bath.

The finished home measures 7500 square feet with 6 bedrooms and 6 baths. The owners worked closely with Brenner Builders in matching and/or selecting the interiors and finishes. Many of the materials used were custom fabricated, resulting in showcase items such as spectacular mosaic tile work in the baths and kitchen. To complete the exterior work, “clinker” brick was obtained from a reclaimed-brick yard in Missouri, and refurbished steel casement windows were found locally to match the existing exterior.
